I'm thinking this is mainly just, like, an art blog and a place to tangent on about college life. That being said, I already kind of use my DA journal for that. :\
So, I'm guessing that this might need/turn into something different. Over time. Like an evolution.
Anyhoozles, I've been working on my comics. 'Mine', of course, is a relative term; one of my current projects is a collab with my sister, who writes beautifully. I actually approached her with the intent of adapting her (already completed) novel into a comic. I'm not really sure if I can consider myself in over my head quite yet, but if I'm nt, I can most certainly see myself arriving at that point sometime in the future. There are just so many elements to doing a comic that you don't think about when you're in the mind set of doing one-shot 'illustrations'. Backgrounds, dynamic poses, word balloons, panels, panel size....I can see this getting tough.
I'm not really going in cold; I've been reading about creating manga/comics for years and years; I own loads of books on the subject, and there are podcasts about it cluttering up my macbook like no one's business. But, you know....theory's faaaaaar less frightening than the actuality of the thing. XD
Welp, WIP at the top, since the image just isn't where I wanted it to go. :|
And, yes, that's good, ol'-fashioned screen tone. And no, it does not appreciate cooperation.
